Common Nationwide

The Alexander and Transbus ALX400 double deckers have a wide aisle, allowing the average wheelchair to navigate without many issues. As far as we are aware, the ALX400 does not have the “kneeling” function to allow it to adjust its floor height to match the curb level. The doors of this vehicle also have handrails on to allow for easier boarding. The stopping bell on the lower deck is normally mounted to the rear-facing wall of the stairs, causing the wheelchair bay and any standing passengers to be unable to see it.

HW-4819 KL52CXB. Wheelchair bay bell not working. Driver was observant and helped anyway, with no questions asked.
